Next Generation Sierra Software Delivers Fully-Synchronized EMG and Ultrasound
For more than 45 years, Cadwell has worked closely with healthcare providers around the globe to deliver advanced EMG systems. Today, we are continuing our commitment with the release of our latest Sierra electrodiagnostic software release, bringing you powerful new features at the peak of what’s possible in electrodiagnostics, including fully-synchronized EMG and ultrasound.
Beyond Integrated: Fully-Synchronized EMG and Ultrasound
The latest Sierra software release delivers patent-pending, fully-synchronized EMG and ultrasound to support enhanced clinical insights and a streamlined workflow. By combining the Sierra Summit® electrodiagnostic system and Sierra NMUS1® integrated ultrasound with Sierra software, you can now seamlessly bring electrophysiological data and ultrasound imaging together in real-time on a single screen, assisting in needle EMG, chemodenervation, nerve block, and hydrodissection procedures.
The feature supports new possibilities for the future of electrodiagnostics.
“Synchronizing EMG and ultrasound data is a crucial step toward advancing neuromuscular medicine,” Abe Gardner, Cadwell’s Global EMG Specialist and Product Manager, says. “A unified data stream aids in more precise diagnostics, paving the way for AI-driven analysis and future breakthroughs in research and clinical care.”
New Electrodiagnostic Software Features Available in Sierra Software
In addition to synchronized EMG and ultrasound, the Sierra software update provides new features, enhancements, and tools to support your electrodiagnostic workflow. This includes:
- Q-Mode™ Improvements: Cadwell’s patent-pending research tool for quantifying pathology in muscle and nerve tissue, such as new tools to improve reproducibility of data collection and results.
- EMG/US Guidance+: A tool that leverages concurrent EMG and ultrasound technology to support chemodenervation and other guided injection procedures with powerful reporting, needle visualization, and injection tracking.
- Dual/Quad Mode: A feature that offers side-by-side visualization of anatomical structures, allowing real-time comparison of normal versus abnormal physiology and structural changes.
- Auto Mute: A new feature available in the EMG+ and SFEMG+ protocol that automatically silences audio feedback when the needle is removed from the patient.
- Sierra Analytics™: Featuring DBSync and other data mining tools for retrospective analysis and research of clinical data.
These software innovations join the powerful suite of electrodiagnostic protocols already available in Sierra software, supporting enhanced clinical insights and a streamlined workflow.
