Following this session, the participant should be able to: Apply basic ultrasound physics to optimize clinical ultrasound of muscles and peripheral nerves. Utilize neuromuscular ultrasound to identify the basic appearance of normal and abnormal muscle and nerve tissue. Perform efficient scans of common peripheral neurologic structures. Practice and improve skills with fundamental neuromuscular ultrasound techniques to improve patient care. Perform accurate needle placement under ultrasound guidance in patients with neuromuscular disorders and spasticity.
