March 3 – 4 • June 30 – July 1 • November 3 – 4, 2018
The Neuronal Conduction for Beginners Workshop is a two-day course that provides theoretical background and hands-on experience in current neuronal conduction techniques, including Motor nerve conduction, sensory nerve conduction and Late responses, including H-reflex and F-wave.
This course is specifically designed for:
- Technicians who need to learn new skills
- Individuals who attended one or two-day workshops and want more information
- Individuals who plan to progress through a series of courses from beginner to advanced levels
Participants gain a clear understanding of this specialty area with an appreciation for the depth of study and practice required to attain clinical expertise in neuronal conduction through intense study and laboratory practice. More than half of this course is hands-on training guided by expert clinicians.
Registration includes all workshop handouts, disposable electrode kits and certificate of attendance upon completion of course. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. The Performing Motor and Sensory Neural Conduction Studies in Adult Humans manual is provided upon registration and send to the address listed on the registration form.
Students will learn:
- Anatomic and physiologic basis of neuronal conduction
- Basics of electrodiagnostic instrumentation
- Rationale and methods to perform motor and sensory conduction of the major nerves in the upper and lower extremities
- Rationale and methods to perform H-reflex and F-wave studies
NCS Workshop Instructors
- Roger Nelson, P.T., Ph.D., F.A.P.T.A.
- John Lugo, P.T., MS, ECS
To ensure the best learning environment, enrollment will be limited. Registrations are taken in the order they are received. Tuition must be paid in advance to guarantee your space. Confirmation notice, class agenda and NIOSH manual will be sent to the address provided upon receipt of your registration and tuition. Confirmation will also be sent via email.

Cadwell reserves the right to cancel the course within 14 calendar days of the start date. In the unlikely event that a course is cancelled, 100% of the tuition will be refunded. Participant cancellations made more than 14 calendar days before the course receive a tuition refund minus a 20% administrative fee. The nature of the “hands on” aspect of the course from an equipment and instructional stand point, dictates that an optimal number of participants be maintained. Therefore participant cancellations made less than 14 days before the course start date, including no shows, will result in the tuition being non-refundable and non-transferable to a future date.
