Position Title:

Supply Chain Manager


Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager provides overall leadership and mentoring for the purchasing, shipping, and receiving functions for Cadwell Industries, Inc., a leading medical device manufacturer.  This position oversees the organization wide management of strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations, and evaluation of services while collaborating closely with staff in Engineering, Marketing, Regulatory, Sales, and Service.


Key Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organize, direct, manage and evaluate all aspects of supply chain management including personnel, operations, and budget
  • Coordinate the fulfillment planning and execution processes including supply / demand forecasting, inventory management, and on time delivery
  • Directly manage the shipping / receiving, receiving inspection, purchasing, and stockroom teams
  • Maintain ERP system integrity related to inventory accuracy and assignment of proper inventory levels
  • Manage and execute procurement related tasks such as contract management and negotiations, identification and selection of new vendors, establishing procurement frameworks, and developing sourcing strategies
  • Responsible for supply chain cost reduction programs while improving overall efficiency and accuracy
  • Responsible for defining and managing supplier quality improvement initiatives including supplier audits, supplier corrective actions, and internal corrective actions (CAPAs) related to position responsibilities
  • Ensure quality control of all purchased materials
  • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports on supply chain management performance
  • Develop and present relevant materials to large and small groups including key stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned, directed, or requested


Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of supply chain management experience in a production / manufacturing environment required, medical device experience preferred
  • APICS, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar certifications highly desired
  • Experience managing both suppliers and employees required
  • Experience working within an ERP/MRP system required
  • Experience with supplier contract negotiations required
  • Working knowledge of CE, FDA, and cGMP requirements for medical devices highly desired

  • Required travel approximately 20%
