Position Title:
Information Technology/Network Support Specialist

Position Summary:
The Information Technology/Network Support Specialist will take an active role with tier 2 technical customer support for the Cadwell product lines. The support role will also include assisting enterprise project installations from inception to completion and assist customers in identifying their needs to support the install base.

Key Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical phone support to Cadwell customers with emphases on high-level networking and application issues
  • Effectively troubleshoot Server, Storage, and Citrix/RDS/VMware software related issues
  • Be a primary interface with customers’ IT departments
  • Take an active support role with Cadwell Clinical Application team
  • Manage enterprise software installations
  • Provide guidance on server, network, and storage architecture
  • Prepare and discuss technical/security documentation with customers
  • Occasional travel may be required to support equipment installs
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in information technology, computer science, or related fields
  • Five or more years of experience in helpdesk and network support environments

  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrates ability to champion new activities
  • Must be able to adapt to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities
  • Must be able to work successfully alone and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work under pressure and handle clients professionally
  • Ability to manage and drive small projects to completion
  • Strong understanding of network enterprise systems
  • Working knowledge of HL7 interface, Mirth, and JavaScript preferred
  • Strong understanding of Cloud based environments
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Windows desktop and server operating systems in a domain environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot servers in a virtual environment
  • IT experience in the medical field preferred
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues and provide network related support
  • Requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, squatting, standing for prolonged periods, and reaching. In addition, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and placing up to 40 pounds is required.  For inspection activities finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity is needed
