Position Summary:

The Applications Support Specialist I provides basic technical customer support for specific Cadwell products. Primary mode of support is telephone/webex helping the customer resolve issues faced with their Cadwell System in the field (installation, troubleshooting, networking, and applications training).  May assists in software and hardware testing.


Key Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical telephone/webex support to Cadwell customers regarding networking, installation procedures, and Cadwell application software for specific Cadwell systems and applications
  • Comprehensive understanding of servers, virtual environments, WAN and LAN topologies, citrix, and storage environments desired
  • Effectively troubleshoot computer, software, and networking issues
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned


Education / Experience:

  • Background in clinical neurophysiology, college degree in relevant area, or equivalent a plus
  • AA in information technology, computer science, or related fields a plus
  • Two or more years of experience in helpdesk and network support environments preferred


Skills / Job Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency is required
  • Strong knowledge of computer operations, including applicable software platforms and networking preferred
  • Knowledge in the following areas: networking (multi-site), firewalls, internet circuits, and basic encryption and security desired
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentation skills before small groups to clearly communicate technical information required
  • Must have a pleasant, positive, patient, and friendly attitude
  • Is willing and understands how to build a long-term relationship with the customer
  • Skilled in problem analysis and resolution to accurately assess customer needs

Requires the following physical activities:  reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and talking
